Richy J - Guatemala

José Ricardo Juárez Molina, A.K.A. Richy J was born October 25th, 1987 in Guatemala. He always loved to sing and dance and, from a very early age, you could tell he had musical talent. He took singing and stage arts classes at a young age because he knew he wanted to eventually become a professional singer.

Richy J’s resume includes three years of singing and stage art training, locution shops, theatre studies, reading and ear training practice, and guitar and piano lessons all taken at the Staccato Singers Academy in Guatemala. This all took place after he had studied two years of several different dance styles such as hip-hop and funk at the Scenic Arts Academy in Guatemala.

In 2008, he was selected as a finalist in the “Staccato Music Fest 2008” music festival. He also joined the dancing group for the Symphonic Coral Concert, “Genesis 2008” and the “Show de Nancy y sus amigos” (Nancy and Friends Show) in “La Aurora” Zoo.

Today, Richy J proudly represents Guatemala in Batalla de las Americas.
