Ernesto Valle - El Salvador

Born in San Salvador, El Salvador on August 10, 1983, Ernesto Valle showed his singing talent from early on. At the age of 15 he joined and sang in the school choir. By the time he attended the university he was already competing in national singing contests which gave him the opportunity to promote himself as a singer.

From 2003 to 2004 he participated in various televised singing competitions, always making it to finals. From 2004 to mid-2007, he hosted and performed alongside the group Síntesis at a local bar.

In 2007 he joined the pop group Ojivaand had a single in rotation on national radio stations. In 2008 he formed a band calledInMotionand their song “Volar” (“Fly”) made it to the top of El Salvador’s radio charts.

He always excelled as a singer and performer. He worked for Star Channel (channel 23) in 2008 as the host for the show Star Clásicos (star Classics) and in May 2008 he was crowned the winner in the “Batalla de las Américas” contest that was aired on channel 33.

1. Do you like to sing in the shower?

And if so, what songs do you sing? Sometimes. Any ballad that happens to come to mind at that moment.

2. If you could trade places with somebody, who would you do it with?

Nobody. I´m very pleased with the life I was given.

3. When you were a kid, what did you do to make your mother angry?

I never listened when she told me to pick up my mess.

4. What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?

Falling down on the school yard in a rainy day in front of everybody

5. What are you most afraid of?

Failure and loneliness

6. What was one of the happiest times in your life?

The first time the audience applauded at my very first performance

7. Did you have a nickname when you were a kid? And what was it?

Chelito o Conejo

8. If you could ask for one wish, what would it be?

To have my parents for a very long time

9. What place would you like to visit?

I’d love to travel all over Europe

10. If you where to be stranded on a deserted island, what book, movie, person and/or food would you take with you?

The Bible, a comedy film, my mother so I can make sure she is doing well, and plenty of water.
