The story of Shawn Edward could begin like this: Once upon a time, there was a little elf that loved to dance in the garden of a beautiful house that looked like a castle. That garden is in his house in Bonneville with a price tag of $350,000 which he won in 2006 on the Loft Story Show. From a very early age he was fascinated by the universe of gnomes and elfs, some of his friends believe that is the reason all of his dreams come true.

Shawn Edward walks tall like a king, talks like a prince and savors the story of the one thousand and one nights every day of his life. Extravagant, passionate, intense and relentless, Shawn Edward believes and holds on to his dreams even through life’s big tests. Aside from being extremely talented, he is very attractive and charming. He possesses an artistic sense and sensibility that is out of this world.

The enigmatic Shawn Edward is one of those artists that is part of a reality shows just for the mere pleasure of it, yet always manages to take home the first place trophy. In Loft Story 3, Shawn Edward followed his own road in order to achieve his biggest professional aspiration. His conviction and strength make him a formidable opponent.

Shawn has appeared on television shows such as Mix Mania on Vark TV Canada in 2001 and ended up as a semi-finalist on the French TV show “À la recherche de la nouvelle star (Pop Idol). He also appeared on the new Reality Show from “Nuevo Mundo TV” (New world TV).

Shawn Edward leaves nothing to chance. Singing, dance, theater, and musical comedy lessons are part of his regular routine. He believes all of this studying and hard work will eventually pay off and help him achieve his dreams.

He is the Canadian representative for the Battle of the Americas reality show, produced by WorldVibe Entertainment Group, a dream come true for this Hipanic-Canadian.

Interview - Know our finalists

1. Do you like to sing in the shower? And if so, what songs do you sing?

I love singing in the shower. I exercise my vocals and I sing love ballads or I just make songs up

2. If you could trade places with somebody, who would you do it with?

A few years back, I would´ve said some famous person, some star, or a Hollywood legend such as Elvis Presley. But today I don’t really want to trade places with anyone. I like my life and I’m proud of it right now.

3. When you were a kid, what did you used to do to make your mother angry?

When I was a kid I was a handful, I used to say “I have the right to…” and well adults didn’t like that very much. My mom always got mad when I used to grab my bicycle and ride off far away. I always liked adventures and challenges.

4. What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?

I don’t know if I remember the worst, but I always get embarrassed when I trip on the steps going to the subway, people always stare at me.

5. What are you most afraid of?

I´m totally scared of the dark.

6. What was one of the happiest times in your life?

The day I learned the real meaning of love.

7. Did you have a nickname when you were a kid? And what was it?

“Pavarotti Kid” because I used to sing opera songs in church

8. If you could ask for one wish, what would it be?

That every single human being had health

9. What place would you like to visit?

I would like to visit the Moon

10. If you where to be stranded on a deserted island, what book, movie, person and/or food would you take with you?

A journal to write about my adventures, any animated movie that is funny, my mom so she can cook for me and a lot of green apples.
