Dr. Rey's Question and Answer of the Day
Dr Rey: Hi Kelly! Hair loss can occur for a number of reasons. We shed about 100 strands of hair per day but if you notice it is more than usual, it can be due to hormonal and/or seasonal changes, vitamin D deficiency, stress or an underlying medical issue. IF you are noticing that this is not temporary, you should see a dermatologist to ensure that there is no medical reason for your hair loss.

I would like to know if there's a treatment out there that can help against flaccid skin and that "jelly-like" feeling which does not include surgery. Thank you! by Martha Arenas

I just bought a product called Breast that it's supposedly an aid to help enlarge the size of the breasts. They say it's natural and doesn't have any side effects. Do you know anything about this product? Will it work? by gloria patricia valencia vargas

Hello Dr. Rey! My name is Anita Cristina Dutan. I’m 26 years old and I’m from Ecuador. I was in an accident and because of it I received an implant at the Tibia and I ended up with a 4 inch scar about half an inch wide. Since then, I haven’t felt comfortable wearing skirts or shorts. Can you imagine what it means to a young woman not to be able to show her legs in public? I would very much like to know if there is any surgical procedure that could completely remove or at least diminish the appearance of the scar or what treatments are available for a person in my place. Dr, you don’t know how frustrating it is to be ashamed to go out to the beach every time summer comes around? I would really love if you could send me the contact info of a surgeon you trust that might work in Ecuador. Thank you very much for your attention. Blessings for your family and for you Dr. by anita cristina dutan rodriguez

Ever since I was a little girl I've been very self conscience of my veins because they are very visible. I know that back in the old days it was a sign of elegance because people thought that it meant that the skin was fine and soft, but it makes me feel uncomfortable. I talked to a doctor and he said the cost for a surgery of that kind was extremely high. I would like to know if there is any other kind of surgery that is not so expensive. I'm 28 years old but I never wear skirts, and I do have pretty legs. I hope you can help me. by Anita Gonzalez
